We have every respect for persons entertaining strict religious principles, but we fear that very godly people are not suited to the drug trade. - James Matheson co-founder of Jardine Matheson.
‘Your father is a pit bull who has to tell himself he is a romantic because otherwise he would lie awake at night screaming at his own evil. He is the devil with a brandy balloon. All my life I try and explain this to you. Please do not try and make me cry for him. I would rather weep for a scorpion being crushed under the wheels of a truck.'
All her life Noelle Crocé has tried to keep her son away from his father and his 'business'.
But now he is dying and Lucien has serious money problems in France. He comes back to Bangkok and is dragged into his deadly world. Baptiste is helped in his seduction by Ruby Wen, who has serious problems of her own. She owes money to almost every gangster in Hong Kong. They are all looking for her triad boyfriend, Eddie Lau. She is the only one who knows where he is which is perhaps why someone arranges for her to spend some time in Bangkok's notorious Maha Chai prison.
John Keelan tries to turn her for the DEA and help break an international drug cartel. Sure he wants the conviction; but who he is really after is the man who ordered the killing of his wife and baby daughter three years before ...
Described by one critic as James Clavell meets The Godfather, Godless is the last book in the OPIUM series, and traces one man's descent into hell, from the dark underbelly of Bangkok to its final breathless conclusion in a typhoon-battered Hong Kong.

Although retired from the US Army, Dave Riley is not out of the action as he battles crafty villains and a deadly pestilence in southwestern Africa in this sixth installment of Mayer's absorbing and well-written series (Cut-Out, 1995, etc.). Now a civilian security specialist hired to protect Satellite News Network correspondent Conner Young, the ex-Special Forces warrant officer accompanies his comely charge to Angola, where she's covering a multinational mission to end the civil strife that's racked the onetime Portuguese colony since it gained independence in 1975. After overrunning rebel strongholds and establishing a base camp along the Zairean border, the Green Berets in the UN's vanguard are stopped cold by the outbreak of a virulent plague. Quarantined with Conner and a handful of soldiers who have also been exposed to whatever's in the air, Dave apprehensively follows the unavailing attempts of epidemiologists who have been flown in from the States to deal with the highly contagious disease they refer to as ``Z.'' Released from hot-zone confinement to escort the medical team on a fact-finding mission, he helps determine that man, not nature, has unleashed the lethal virus. With an assist from the National Security Agency, American commanders soon identify the likely culprit as Pieter Van Wyks, head of the syndicate that effectively controls the world's diamond trade. Aware that the avaricious mining magnate has stockpiled vaccine that can reverse the invariably fatal course of Z, the Pentagon details Dave to lead a small band of nothing-left-to-lose troopers in an airborne assault on the cartel's strongly defended headquarters on the Namibian coast. Though on his last legs and facing die-hard adversaries, the old soldier will manage to beat the odds. A ripping good biotech/military thriller that plausibly depicts the high costs (psychological and otherwise) of combating unseen enemies. – Copyright

Mind control is only the first step...
World domination is the next...
Much like Men Who Stares at Goats, Psychic Warrior is a fictional tale taken straight from the pages of the once classified Trojan Warrior Program in Special Forces and written by someone who was in the unit and went through the training. Bob Mayer, former Green Beret understands first hand how the results of taking warfare into the virtual plane through avatars and then reinserting covert operatives into the real world can be devastating.
Bright Gate. HAARP. Remote Viewers. U.S. military operations so top secret that not even the president knew they existed. Now they have produced an elite group of commandos able to leave their bodies — and their souls — to fight anywhere, anytime, using the persuasive power of the human mind.
Sergeant Major Jimmy Dalton is one of them. An ex-Green Beret, a man with no family, no ties, and nothing to lose, Dalton knows the most dangerous weapon in any arsenal is the mind.
Among the first Psychic Warriors to be battle tested on the virtual plane, Dalton has seen up close the damage and destruction the new weapons can cause. The memory will haunt him the rest of his days.
However, Dalton has a new set of enemies. Enemies that have existed for millennia. First, the Mithrans hiding in the peaks of the Himalayas and the other, the Priory, manipulating mankind in the shadows of the power elite. The technology that allows Dalton to be a Psychic Warrior gives these two groups the opportunity to battle each to the death. If they happen to wipe out mankind in the process, so be it.
The race is on to seize power and it falls to Dalton and his team to stop both the Priory and the Mithrans before they destroy all of humanity.

All so the truth of him and his power can stay in the shadows, with every oblivious mortal his pawn. The Mark of Cain, a paranormal romantic suspense novel, reveals the truth.
After murdering his brother, Abel, Cain was unjustly cursed by God. When the curse becomes too unbearable for him and he faces immortality alone, Cain puts his energy into claiming the Earth as his own. Now, after thousands of years living his life as some of history’s greatest conquerors, the ruthless first son of Adam finally has a controlling interest in the world with the strongest governments secretly answering to him.
Tired of the bloodshed and manipulation that has brought him to this point, Cain is ready to relax. But God has sent someone to challenge his interests: a young woman named Hara, whose very life was foretold centuries ago.
To keep God from victory, Cain sets out to woo and corrupt Hara, planning to kill her once she is no longer God’s Chosen One. At first, as she edges off the path leading toward the fulfillment of the prophecy, Cain can’t help but feel smug. However, the closer he gets to her, the more he finds that Hara’s charitable presence causes him to feel shame for the first time in his long life, and soon he finds that he no longer wishes her harm. But the prophecy is clear on this; she has to die for him to win. When it comes to her end, will he be as selfish as he has always been, or will he sacrifice himself for the love of his very long life?

BRB [Be Right Back], Book #2 of the CUL8R Time Travel Mystery/Romance series. Change the past, Save the future.
Four high school friends are able to do two things no one else on the planet can do . . . talk with dead people and time travel to the past. It’s early summer and boredom is setting in. They have just returned from an adventure where they travelled through time back to 1966 to solve a mystery and save a popular high school girl’s life.
Kelly, Scott, Austin and Zoey gather in Scott’s lab, listening to the old radio that Thomas Edison had invented and called “The Telephone to the Dead”. As they slowly turn the dial they hear hundreds of sad, lonely voices of souls that have passed but apparently never moved on, pleading for help. When they first discovered the radio in Kelly’s aunt’s garage, they had been touched by the cries and pleas coming from its speakers, but they had no way to go back in time to help them. That is, until Scott reveals an invention of his own . . . a time travel app. They’ve tested it only once, but that first trip had been successful . . . if you ignore the fact that Zoey and Kelly had almost gotten killed by a serial killer. Even though they returned with a few scrapes and bruises, they are eager to go on a new adventure and help solve another mystery.
A very young girl speaking in Spanish cries out to them, saying her whole family has been murdered on an island just off the east coast of Florida. Kelly understands a little Spanish, so she is able to communicate with the girl, but not able to get some very important details. It’s difficult to investigate a crime that hasn't happened yet.
The teens look the island up on Google Maps and see that it is completely deserted which contradicts the story they’re getting from the Spirit Radio. But it’s a beautiful island called Crystal Key with a stretch of beach that, unlike Ft. Myers Beach, is not crowded with tourists and kids. The teens decide to pop in, spend a nice day on the beach, check out the island to see if there is any truth to the girl’s story, then pop right back. It sounds like a great plan.
From the very beginning, things go wrong when Scott miscalculates their landing and they end up splashing into the Atlantic Ocean. After swimming for their lives, they collapse on the beach that is, indeed, beautiful. But it isn’t deserted. They find the little girl, her family and a half dozen more people living in a sprawling Florida-style home owned by a menacing man named Manuel. He gives them no opportunity to escape and insists that they stay in the house. What they discover during their visit is enough to almost get them all killed.
As they struggle to survive, Kelly tries to ignore her attraction to Austin, who clearly isn’t interested in a romance. Besides, just days before she went on her very first date . . . with Scott. How could she have such strong feelings for two boys? And then there is Zoey who is hot for Austin, but flirting shamelessly with Scott. Then people start dying and all they can think about is saving the families and themselves. Are they destined to be a madman’s latest victims? Their time travel adventure to a tropical paradise may turn out to be their last.

What started as a routine contact stop turned into a brutal double homicide.
Officer Sam Morgan had worked for the Denver PD for five years, most of which were spent patrolling the streets around the State Capitol. He’s seen his share of druggies, dealers and hookers, but since some of them were his best sources, he normally wasn’t quick to arrest them.
On a hot June Saturday night, Sam was sharing his patrol car with a ridealong, which could be a blessing or a curse. Things went smoothly until they came face-to-face with a hooker and her pimp. Sam stopped to talk to the pair, but when his backup arrived, the atmosphere changed from curious to angry and aggressive. Suddenly, the pimp pulled a gun, and after exchanged gunfire, the other police officer and the pimp were both dead and Sam was seriously wounded. The ridealong had saved the day by retrieving a dropped pistol and shooting the pimp before he can get a fatal shot at Sam. In the confusion, the prostitute disappeared into the night.
The ridealong, Brian, a reporter for The Denver Post writes a compelling first-hand account of the incident which turns out to be his big break.
Kate, the hooker, tries to convince Sam, as he recovers from his wounds that she isn’t a really a prostitute, but he doesn't believe her. She tells him she’s an actress, hired by the dead pimp to be on the streets that night for the filming of a TV show. As the weeks pass and it becomes clear that someone is out to either frighten her enough to leave Denver or to kill her, Sam begins to believe her story.
Joining together, the cop and the actress uncover many inconsistencies and even more suspects. Along the way, they also discover a sexual attraction that quickly turns into even more than either of them had bargained for.
As they get closer to the truth, the threat escalates until Kate finds herself fighting for her life. It’s up to Sam to save her, but will he be in time?
Hooker to lover or low-life to no-life. It’s all in his hands.
