Cover - It doesn't give you a clue about what's coming your way and I mean this in a good way. My first impression was that it was historical fiction but it isn't quite that.
Formatting / Appearance - Neat and each paragraph is well spaced out. No complaints here.
Content - I love, love her writing style. She develops each character like you're sitting down in your best friend's kitchen talking about someone. Her dialogue writing is flawless and the suspense has you drooling.
What I liked - Birdie reminds me a lot of Goldie Hawn. I don't know why. Maybe it's that rush of energy or the "ditsy-ness" she pretends to bring to the table, she's an easy character to fall in love with. Does she steal because she wants to or because needs to? This conflict alongside her love/hate relationship with Hugh makes the book a very entertaining read.
Rating - 5 / 5 stars.
Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy from the author which did not affect my honest opinion.
