Seventeen-year-old Olivia Black has a rare birth defect known as Psyche Sans Soma, or PSS. Instead of a right hand made of flesh and blood, she was born with a hand made of ethereal energy.
How does Olivia handle being the girl with the ghost hand? Well, she's a little bit morbid and a whole lot snarky. Her mother thinks her obsession with death, black clothing, and the local cemetery is a bid for attention. But when Marcus, the new guy in Olivia's calculus class, stares at her like she's a freak, Olivia doesn't like it. And when her hand goes rogue, doing things she never imagined possible, Olivia finds herself running for her life with Marcus from a group of men bent on taking the power of her hand for their own nefarious purposes.

Everybody knows that it is normal for toddlers to take off their clothes at every opportunity. Nobody is surprised when their children lurk through the house in the night, staring at their sleeping parents. Relieving themselves like dogs, attacking their parents with yogurt, and painting pieces if furniture is totally normal, right? Right? Maybe. Maybe not.
Up until a year ago I had no idea. When I became a full-time dad I had far simpler expectations for wrangling toddlers. Collected herein are reflections, musings, and tales of my first year as a stay-at-home father. This is not a how-to book. I am nowhere near intelligent enough to tell anyone the right or wrong way to parent. This is simply a collection of experiences and thoughts. I hope you enjoy it. Someday my children will hate me.

"We have been here before, and sometimes, the soul remembers."
It is fourteenth century Denmark. Like the rest of Europe, Denmark is a land surrounded by the darkness of hunger, disease, and oppression. In the midst of this lives Orian (13), a young girl who survives by performing dances in the street for handouts. When she falls asleep, though, she enters into the world of dreams that consistently returns her to a place that is both familiar and unfamiliar. She has never been there in reality, but when she overhears some travelers discussing a fortress hidden deep in the woods, she recognizes it as the land of her dreams, and she decides to seek it out despite the difficulty of the winter foot-travel and the lack of any clear directions, aside from those provided by her intense intuition.

A Street Smart Crime Thriller and Urban Fantasy
How many cops does it take to stop a soul reaving sorcerer?
 MICHAEL PRIM
Michael Prim is a hard charging beat cop soon to be thrust into a world of dark magic. He has always been a bit of a freak: different, strange, and always needing to prove himself. His last memories of his father were of bedtime stories—the mercenary war, dragon slaying, and demon fighting variety. He knows how to come down hard on wife beaters, pedophiles, and cop killing drug lords, but nothing has prepared him for the sorcerer who is coming for his soul.

Airlann. The Source Isle of Magic.
It is the Age of Autumn, the island locked in slow, beautiful death. Nine hundred years have passed since Jerrod II, last of the Goblin Kings, was assassinated by a child. After centuries of tyranny, the bloody days of human rule still haunt the long memories of the Fae. Their resplendent bastions have dwindled despite the peace, all but replaced by the superstitious squalor of mortal Man. The human peasantry cowers in remote villages, defending themselves with weapons of iron.
UNLEASHED (A Sydney Rye Novel, #1) - Emily Kimleman
Genre -  Hard Boiled Mystery
Rating - R
4.1 (99 reviews)
Free until 18 June 2013
The Sydney Rye series of mysteries features a strong female protagonist and her rescue dog, Blue. This series is recommended for the 18+ who enjoy some violence, don't mind dirty language, are up for a dash of sex and can handle twist and turns that keep them reading late into the night.
When the series begins Sydney Rye is named Joy Humbolt. She does not like people telling her what to do, so it comes as no surprise that she was just fired from her last job. When she buys Charlene Miller's dog-walking business on Manhattan's exclusive upper east side, it seems like the perfect fit: Quiet environment, minimal contact with people.
Tough Cookie - M Ruth Myers

No good deed goes unpunished! When Kate Huntington agrees to help Rob Franklin’s elderly aunt with a problem, the “problem” ends up dead and Kate ends up in the middle of a police investigation. This second adventure in the series has a cozy mystery flavor, and a budding romance to spice things up.
As she and her friends wade through a brimming pool of suspects–some of whom have secrets they would prefer stay buried–Kate finds it hard to deny her growing attraction to another party in the investigation. But it’s too soon; she is still grieving for her beloved Eddie. Then Rob surprises everyone when his reaction to this potential romance is both intense and negative. Is he just trying to keep his friend from getting hurt, or could he possibly be jealous?
