What does one do when they've suffered a bad break up, and are trying to "find" themselves, but aren't quite ready to deal with reality? Travel, of course. And so begins my adventure, or should I say misadventure? Seven months taking on Southeast Asia trying to find the answers to life, God, relationships, and sex.

I'd spent the last five years overseas teaching English and was currently living in Taiwan. I was thirty three. My ten year marriage had fallen apart and I suddenly found myself single with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I had questions with no answers and a divorce I didn't want to deal with.

So, I ran. To Thailand. To Cambodia. To Vietnam. To India. To Sri Lanka. I mean really if you're going to go on the lam can you think of a better place than the exotic beauty of Southeast Asia? In Travel, Sex, and Train Wrecks I present the whole sordid story of my journey. Just to give you fair warning it does involve sex, hot men with accents, Pad Thai, and bizarre travel situations. And it will probably leave you with an uncontrollable urge to travel to Thailand.

The Christmas story you never heard. In the early 1800s, Nicholas, Jessica and Jon Santa attempt the first human trek to the North Pole and stumble upon an ancient race of people left over from the Ice Age. They are short, fat and hairy. They slide across the ice on scaly soles and carve their homes in the ice that floats on the Arctic Ocean. The elven are adapted to life in the extreme cold. They are as wise as they are ancient.

Their scientific advancements have yielded great inventions -- time-stopping devices and gravitational spheres that build living snowmen and genetically-modified reindeer that leap great distances. They’ve even unlocked the secrets to aging. For 40,000 years, they have lived in peace. Until now.

An elven known as The Cold One has divided his people. He’s tired of their seclusion and wants to conquer the world. Only one elven stands between The Cold One and total chaos. He’s white-bearded and red-coated. The Santa family will help him stop The Cold One. They will come to the aid of a legendary elven known as… Claus.

A Child Lost in Flight is a first person account of a father coming to grips with the sudden death of his child on an international flight.

The story is about his tragedy and the author’s experiences in recovering and moving on. Air travel continues to be the safest mode of transport though fatal accidents do occur. When the author and his wife lost their baby on international Jet Airways flight 229 at the time of landing, they were heartbroken.

The author recollects the birth of little Aditya, the reason for international travel with the baby, details of the incident and aftermath. He attempts to make sense of the sudden death and about his drastically changed priorities. In this book, Mohan combines his analysis of grief, search for answers and explore the time spent in “recovering” and what really helped him move on.

Alan loves the beach. More than a weekend respite, it is his home, his refuge, his sanctuary. And for most of the year, he strolls the sand in blissful solitude, letting nature--and no one else--touch him. But spring has given way to summer, and soon, the annual invasion of vacationers and tourists will subdivide the beach with blankets, umbrellas, and chairs, depriving Alan of his privacy and seclusion--the fundamental touchstones of his life.

Resigned to endure another seasonal onslaught of beach-goers, Alan believes there is nothing he can do but prepare for the worst. But fate has other plans.

Delivered to him on the crest of a rogue wave, the strange object appears to have no purpose, no practical use--until Alan accidentally discovers what waits inside. Now he must attempt to unravel an ageless mystery, unaware that the final outcome will change his life, and the beach, forever.

In the companion novella "Short Time," you'll meet a respectable but bored middle-class executive, who exchanges his future for six months of excess and extravagance, only to find out the price he must pay for his hedonistic indulgence is beyond anything he could have imagined.

This kindle ebook is an adult fiction sci-fi fantasy laced with a supernatural theme. The suspense thriller "Short Time" is included and featured as a bonus novella. These contemporary fiction novellas by indie author Jaye Frances offer a frightening look at choices and consequences. "The Beach"  can be downloaded as a free kindle ebook through the Amazon Prime program. The stories contain mature language and situations and are best suited for an adult reader.
